New director Vinod’s “Middle Class Melodies” featuring Anand Deverakonda and Varsha Bollamma is set in the countryside of Guntur. The movie portrays the unhurried lifestyle of this region, the dialect, the people’s simple aspirations, and petty issues. The story is simple and wafer-thin. The screenplay is uncomplicated. As the title suggests, Middle-Class Melodies is a film that depicts the issues that people deal with in their middle-Class lives. The setup, earthy characters, and emotions attached to each are nicely established. Credit goes to the director Vinod for keeping the characters true to themselves. The supporting cast plays a strong part and every track has a justification. On the whole, Middle Class Melodies is a romantic family drama that is filled with nicely executed emotions. Middle Class Melodies is not without its flaws, it also seems to miss a secret ingredient that would make it great, but it refreshingly offers a peek into everyday lives of characters that are relatable.
