Bhalaa "Bhalla"

Wishing our Bhallaladeva a very happy birthday.

Rana Daggubati is one of the most important stars in Tollywood. Even though he has been an active personality in the industry for less than 10 years, he has garnered a wide fan base. Today marks his 34th birthday and we thought we would list down the reasons we love him

Unconventional Debut

Typically the most preferred launching directors for debut heroes are Puri Jagannadh and V V Vinayak with the intention of making a pukka mass movie to connect with the audience. But Rana chose Sekhar Kammula and a political subject for his debut in Tollywood marking his uniqueness right from the get-go. He also chose to do it under AVM productions instead of Suresh productions showing his intention of carving his own niche in the industry.

Bollywood and other film industry presence

People still say we gave Sri Devi and Hema Malini and so many actresses to Bollywood. But lately, no one from Tollywood had made his/her presence felt in the Hindi film industry. But Rana’s second film was a Hindi movie with him as one of the leads. He has enjoyed recognition from the Tamil industry as well, even before Bahubali. He has become the voice of Tollywood in other industries.

Krishnam Vande Jagadguram

The movie that established Rana as an actor with great emotional range. As an appreciator of the theatrical arts, I feel grateful that this movie exists and that it paves the way for Bhallaladeva is just wondrous.

The Bahubali series

They say all the best movies have great antagonists. It is hard to imagine these 2 movies without Rana. Anyone would love to hate Bhallaladeva. Every Rajamouli villain has been special and Rana is no exception.

No. 1 Yaari

It’s time we got our own version of Koffee with Karan and presto. Rana shows he is charismatic on the small screen as well.

Thanos

One of the best things we like in our stars is shared fandom over common cultural elements. All the MCU fans(including us) shrieked when Rana was announced to voice Thanos. It was reason enough to watch the Telugu version(which doesn’t disappoint). Hope other actors also get into this trend. His comic-con participation is also awesome. Thanks for geeking with us.

These are only a few reasons to celebrate Rana and all he has been doing. We love it when he attempts something fresh. We will be seeing him soon as N. Chandra Babu Naidu in the NTR biopic and it only adds to the excitement.

Happy birthday and Keeping Rocking RANA
