Telugu cinema is all about collective emotions, we would like to see full-pledged action sequences with laughing out on our seats for 2 hours and wants to come off the theatres with tears in our eyes. There is one man who constantly gave this kind of experience with each and every movie, he is none other than our very own Victory Venkatesh the king of comedy. He has been entertaining us for the past 33 years from his debut movie Kaliyuga Pandavulu. There are a lot of unknown facts about our Venky Mama, here are some of them.




  1. Did you know Venky Mama's debut movie as a hero was actually suppose to be with Superstar Krishna? At that time Rama Naidu planned to produce a movie of Superstar Krishna in Raghavendra Rao direction. Then Krishna didn't complete that movie because of some health problems. Then Raghavendra Rao asked Venkatesh to do that movie and received the Nandi award.
  2. He is highly educated having completed schooling in Don Bosco, Egmore, Chennai. He holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce from Loyola College in Chennai and also an MBA from a university in the US
  3. He has acted as a child artist in the film ‘Prem Nagar’
  4. He starred opposite Karisma Kapoor in the hit Hindi film ‘Anari’ which was a remake of his own Telugu film ‘Chanti’
  5. He is married to Neeraja Daggubati who is also an MBA graduate from the US. Having married at the age of 25, the couple has 4 children, three daughters, and a son. He is extremely private about his family matters and has never exposed them to media glare
  6. In spite of the son of a producer, he earned his name individually​. Being a great actor he was down to earth. He was the actor without ego and no anti-fans.
  7. He is very spiritual and often visits the Himalayas to meditate and be near to nature.
  8. In a career spanning 30 years, he starred in 72 feature films. He has played a variety of roles in Telugu cinema and in a couple of Bollywood films. He has received seven state Nandi Awards and six Filmfare Awards.


Today he turned 59, we wish our very own Venky Mama a happy birthday.
