Cinema is the most powerful art in the world. A good movie can reach from one end of the planet to another end. Every movie enthusiast watches movies in multiple languages and enjoys them as much as their respective language audience. Especially we Telugu people appreciate these movies and worship them highly. English, Korean, French movies and Tv series are regularly watched by movie lovers. Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada movies are releasing here regularly. Rajinikanth, Suriya, Dhanush, etc are also having big openings which are being dubbed. But we are failing to deliver our movies to neighbor states. Spyder, NOTA, Dear Comrade, etc were disasters which were released in multiple languages. What's the reason? Today, let's look into it.

Quality of Content: For every state, there is a special flavor of content in their movies. Especially Tamil and Malayalam movies are very particular about their standards. Whoever the star is if the movie couldn't deliver those standards, it will fail miserably in the box office. We are seriously lacking in this field. Although for the past few years we are making good content still we are lagging behind other states content. I agree we produced Baahubali, Arjun Reddy, Jersey, etc but still, we are following the commercial movie format. So the quality of content is one of the reasons for our failure.

Language Barrier: In my opinion, this is one of the major reason for our films to not perform well in southern states. For example, Tamilians are very particular about their language and don't encourage other languages at all. And the movie is literally religion to them. We have heard so many stories about movie stars temples in Tamil Nadu. Same goes to Karnataka, they won't even allow other language movies to dub in Kannada(This was changed recently). Kerala is a bit different compared to other states. Our Stylish Star Allu Arjun is a big name there. Allu Arjun movies are frequently dubbed in Malayalam, they even call him Mallu Arjun. But their market range is not as good as other states. So the language barrier is one of the main reasons.

Constraint to Telugu: Our star heroes like Mahesh Babu said many times that he is not comfortable in doing movies in other languages. Due to this constraint, budget issues and commercial aspects are being overused in the industry. Whatever the reasons are our heroes are missing the point of a large scale of audience. Thanks to Baahubali and KGF, proved this by releasing in PAN India and collected mind-blowing figures in terms of the box office. Telugu creators should learn this and make movies accordingly.

Telugu creators should really look into this issue seriously. Every year Bollywood is buying multiple movies remake rights and making cash for themselves. Recent sensation Arjun Reddy which was remade as Kabir Singh and collected whopping 270 crores at the box office. Jersey, RX 100, Dear Comrade were already sold their rights in Hindi. Not only remakes, but Telugu also dubbed movies on Youtube are having millions of views. Thanks to online streaming services, now people are watching all languages. So if we make movies in other languages we can increase our budgets and quality of content. Hope we figure this out in as early as possible and capture the entire countries market.
